SAI Performance Groups
As a member of Sigma Alpha Iota at Northwestern, you gain access to our various musical groups. None of them require auditions, and they are all open to interested members of all skill levels -- no previous experience necessary! Our goal is to provide a relaxed environment for those who have an interest in learning and performing new musical instruments, as well as a space for those who have more experience. At the conclusion of each quarter, we hold a recital during which siblings perform pieces together. The best part: if you want to join a group that doesn't exist yet, all you need to do is start it!
SAI Choir
The Sigma Alpha Iota choir is comprised of all of our members. We rehearse weekly to prepare for our recitals at the end of the quarter.
Jazz Band
Our jazz band includes both SAI members and Northwestern students who are interested in playing jazz music. This group meets during winter and spring quarter.
Muses in Red
Our a capella group is made up of siblings who enjoy singing outside of choir. Muses rehearse weekly and can perform outside of recitals.
Flute Choir
The flute choir is made up of SAI members and Northwestern students who play flute. They meet weekly in winter and spring quarter to prepare for recitals.
